About Me

Jennifer Burkhardt, LPC, LCDC

You’re Not Alone.

Motherhood is so rewarding, but can also be very lonely. You’re so focused on everyone else and making sure they’re taken care of, you find there’s no time or energy left for yourself.

You tell yourself that it’s ok. You feel guilty thinking about how hard it’s been, knowing that your best friend is struggling with infertility. How can I be so selfish?

When someone asks how you are, you smile politely telling them you’re fine, knowing it’s a lie. Most days are met with tears and anger instead of joy, wondering how you’ll get through the next day.

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.

It’s ok to not be ok. There’s no shame in admitting it. Life is hard; harder than most of us want to admit. I want to help you through this time and the struggles you’re having, to get you to the life you want and deserve. I want you to take control of your life. I want you to be seen and heard and to know that you’re important.

My Approach

I find that clients who are committed to the process often have the best results. I encourage each client to speak up and be involved in their therapy. This is a time for you to gain knowledge and learn how to work through the stress of anxieties you’re feeling.
