Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Therapy Take?
Therapy is not a one size fits all. Each person that I work with is treated as an individual. Therefore, while one person may only need a few sessions, others may need to remain engaged for several months.
Can You Prescribe Medications?
No, my license does not allow me to prescribe medications. You will need to contact a psychiatrist or your primary care physician. As I often see clients on a more routine basis, I am happy to collaborate with your medical providers or others who may be engaged in your treatment.
What Are Your Office Hours?
Office hours are by appointment only:
Tuesday: 10am – 6pm
Wednesday: 9am – 2pm
Thursday: 10am – 4pm
How Much Do Sessions Cost?
The initial evaluation appointment is $200 (90 minutes), while on-going therapy sessions are $180 (50 minutes).
Do you Accept Insurance?
I currently participate with Aetna, BlueCross Blue Shield and Lyra insurance. If I am out-of-network with your insurance carrier, I can provide a receipt for services that you can use to submit for reimbursement purposes.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
I do require 24 hours advance notice for any appointment changes or cancellations. If you do not show for your scheduled appointment or cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session, late session fees will apply.
What if I Can't Make it to the Office?
For clients who may not be able to make it into my office or may need additional privacy, I do offer online video sessions. I utilize secure programs, including doxy.me or Spruce Health and will send you a link prior to our scheduled session.
